The “Dagomba Warrior” better known as Fatau Keita will be the opening act for long serving multi-talented Veteran Ghanaian instrumentalist cum Musician Ebo Taylor’s event (Ebo Taylor & The Salt Pond Band) slated to take place at Alliance Francaise this Saturday, 13/1/2018 in Accra, 8:00pm prompt. With a loud album to his credit, “Selina”, he promises a jaw dropping performance coupled with classical blend of his traditional style (Dagomba) intertwined with highlife. What is expected of him on the night will be delivered as he performs singles off his album and smash singles like Fefeefe, Simpaa, My Baby among others.
Been in existence for over 6 decades, the renowned guitarist, composer, band leader, producer and arranger has highly influenced, shaped and focused on the popularity highlife and afrobeat music over the years. Hence he has a hand in the success stories of Pat Thomas, C.K. Mann, etc. He’s indeed a living legend with boundless experience and a key player in the upliftment of Ghana music world wide. I have to put on record, in the late 50’s he was active in the influential highlife bands the Stargazers and the Broadway Dance Band. He’ll be performing with the SaltPond City Band, it’s going to be an unforgettable night of music and dance.
