Press Release

Volta Fashion Awards postpones to 2021

Strawman Events and Versatile Entertainment, organizers of Volta Fashion Awards have postponed this year’s edition to 2021.

Volta Fashion Awards staged its maiden edition in 2019 with a colourful ceremony that showcased works from different fashion designers, models and fashion aficionados from across the region and beyond. Organizers of the show were very optimistic this year’s edition would be a build up on the previous but due to COVID-19 and other related mishap, they have decided to push forward to next year, hopefully when the pandemic dies down.

Below is a detailed press statement from the organizers issued on Monday, August 3, 2020:

POSTPONEMENT OF VOLTA FASHION AWARDS SECOND EDITION

The organizers of Volta Fashion Awards (Strawman Events and Versatile Entertainment), Board and sponsors of the scheme, regret to announce the postponement of Volta Fashion Awards 2020 initially scheduled for 5th October. This has become necessary due to COVID-19 which has affected businesses and human activities in Ghana and the national directives on public gathering.

The tentative date for the Second Edition is slated for the first quarter of 2021. We will endeavour to make it even more inclusive and exciting. All inconveniences caused is deeply regretted.

We would like to use this opportunity to remind the general public to follow the preventive measures issued by the Ghana Health Service, and comply with Government’s recent directives on public gathering, which are aimed at preventing the spread of the virus.

Thank you,
Organizers.
