The rank and file of Rastafari nationwide are preparing for the 6th. edition of the National Rastafari Conference, which comes off on the March 2, 2021 at the Commonwealth Hall Conference Theatre, University of Ghana, Legon, under the auspices of the Rastafari Council of Ghana, RCG.
The theme for the conference is *Rastafari Welfare; A New Faculty of Understanding* and the keynote speaker will be Empress Marina M. Blake, President of the Haille Sellasie I, Foundation for Law and Soceity and member of the Empress Mennen Foundation. The conference will take the two-phase form of plenary and break-away sessions and will be hosted on the Zoom App by the Publicity Committee of the Council to accommodate international participants.
Scheduled annually on the 2nd of March in commemoration of the victory of the Battle of Adwa (Ethiopia, 1896) and the inauguration of the Council, the RCG through the conference gathers all Rastafari faithfuls in the country at one forum to discuss issues and formulate plans for the advancement of their movement, Ghana and Africa at large.
One hundred and twenty participants are expected to physically attend the conference under strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
