Rising Ghanaian rapper, Black Sherif has disclosed that he recorded 2 new Extended Plays (EPs) in 2021 to replace one he lost.
He explained that he lost his drive which contained songs meant for an EP and because he did not have back up to those songs, he wrote and recorded enough new music to make 2 new EPs that has yet to be released.
He said, “I think I lost my drive which I had everything on there, and because I didn’t have backup, I made two more EPs.”
Speaking to Nana Lyon, host of Drive with the Area Gang in a recent interview, the Kweku the Traveller’ Hitmaker said however that none of the songs on the aforementioned EPs will make it onto his upcoming yet to be titled EP.
Black Sherif also shared more about his work ethic when it comes to creating music saying, “I go overtime, I will make songs like today, like 8 songs today and next two weeks, the songs I’ll make will be different.”
He said averagely, he records five songs when he enters the studio for a recording session.
Touching on his drive and some of the reasons behind his music creation process, Blacko said “I’ve been actually waiting to see what I will do so I don’t focus on what’s behind me, because I believe I can do more?
Black Sherif has been praised widely in Ghana and beyond for his new song, ‘Kwak the Traveller” which speaks to some of the mistakes and challenges usually faced by the youth.
The song has topped various digital music platforms around the world including Apple Music, Bloompay and Audiomack. It is currently the Most Shazamed Song in the world.
