Fafa’s Foundation International (FFI) on Easter Saturday, April 16th donated items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to the Children’s ward of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for the upkeep of children at the center as part of their planned humanitarian discharge to society.
Speaking at a short ceremony, Founder and Lead Humanitarian Officer, Ms. Miriam Fafa Worchie, underscored the excitement in organising this donation and especially how it resonates with our humanitarian endeavour as an organisation to support aged women and children.
She indicated further that “donations of this nature are envisaged to be an annual practise given the special focus we plan to give towards aged women and children empowerment though not necessarily at the same facility each year.”
Ms. Miriam Fafa with support from the High Commissioner of South Africa, H.E Ms. Grace Jeanet Mason, and her team donated assorted items in branded packs, drinks, toiletries, water, and cash donations to settle medical bills for some needy mothers and their children at the ward.
“Fafa’s Foundation International is a non–profit humanitarian organisation composed of a small support staff, volunteers, family, friends of the organization, donors, and sponsors. All these people support the organization in diverse ways.
“The event dubbed “Easter Saturday Donation” as occasioned the season of remembrance of love and call to emulate the sacrifice of our Saviour Jesus Christ to mankind presented a great honour to our mandate as a humanitarian organization towards the interest and social well-being of the less privileged especially aged women and children.
