Balancing Books with Music: Asari Music’s debut ‘Like Dat’ tops expectations

Asari Music is ready to sing her way to hearts with striking new debut ‘Like Dat’ – a tale of heartbreak delivered in a falsetto so exceptional it can’t be ignored. Stream or download ‘Like Dat’ across all major digital platforms here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/asarimusic/like-dat

Ghana’s newest voice is very vulnerable on her official debut single. In her defense, she’s had enough of the lies and proceeds to sing in piercing notes which ring as distress calls over a groovy production. These intense emotions, though supposedly upsetting, come off as rather melodious in the singer’s mix of English and Twi vocals.

They are full of bright spots – Asari’s melody in particular. It’s unmistakably exceptional, relentless in knocking on your attention till you finally give in and open up to the fatigue she so beautifully expresses. “Heartbreaks are inevitable”, Asari admitted. “Take it from me, as a young woman in college heartbreaks are hard to miss so you best believe this song came from a special place. It’s my way of speaking to other young women who have shared a similar experience as mine. I’m really excited and can’t wait for listeners’ to start enjoying Like Dat’’. Although her first, ‘Like Dat’ lends much interest to the emerging singer’s potential – even in such a vulnerable moment. It introduces her original brand of music to unsuspecting fans (who we are convinced) will be thrilled to have found gold.

Asari Music is a Ghanaian-American singer with no limits – and by no limits we mean it. Her music prospects are very diverse, ranging from Afrobeat, Afro-Pop, R&B, Pop, Alternative to even Gospel. Next to all this flexibility is college. Asari is currently pursuing a double degree program in college just so you know ‘Like Dat’ is not only her first song but a statement of how committed she is in balancing both education and music.

The singer’s strong sense of identity and commitment to incorporating Ghanaian culture into her songs also stands tall and comes as her humble contribution to empowering women through music.
