Ghana Reggae/Dancehall artistes are full of hate, envy & badmind so the genre is stagnant — King Lagazee fires back

Multiple award winning Reggae/Dancehall Presenter, King Lagazee, who plays on popular Accra based radio station, Hitz 103.9fm cracked his whip this morning with quite a lengthy critique at Ghanaian Reggae & Dancehall artistes in a Facebook post — Friday, January 31, 2020. His unedited verbose text reads below.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Thinking out loud… #YaadSettingz

How many reggae artists in Ghana have their own band? Not the fr3fr3 Kobo ones, I mean real reggae band, that plays for nobody but you alone…

I have seen players of instruments in not unless than 3-4 groups playing and calling themselves different names…

How many reggae artists in Ghana even go on tour within the country and spend money on the music to get to the people?

It is not about being on facebook and shouting and making unnecessary about reggae and you don’t reach out to the people in Aflao, not even to mention outside Ghana country like Togo.

Apart from Blakk Rasta who in recent times took the music all the way to South Africa which is a good look for Ghana, tell me one real reggae artist in Ghana that crossed over to even Benin to sell the music and country?

How many of you reggae artists in Ghana making noise on facebook invest in your craft? How many of you even do media tour, how many of you have proper and quality videos to show and those video’s are on rotation on TV stations ?

You think is about making useless noise on facebook without you putting in the work? My friend you are totally wrong…

3Music Awards just mentioned their nominations, how many of you the noise makers were in there…

If I were you, I will take time to invest into my craft, shoot quality videos, do media tour, make sure I have a solid team that will put me there…

After so many diss on Bass Awards, I thought as Bulldog decided to take a break you guys will also come up with an Award scheme but here we are now…

Reggae people claim they know everything, they have the vibes and style, preaching peace and love but they have hate, envy, jealousy and badmind Inna them heart and how do you expect to progress with this attitude?

Ghana Reggae people, look, J. Derobi just came with one reggae song and with the proper management skills his song enter charts in Ghana… my brothers you are making we the selectors work difficult because you the reggae artists don’t raise your standards. I fee very sad this morning and all jokes aside.

I don’t care what reggae people say about me but am telling you guys the painful truth and nobody in Ghana can stope from talking about any reggae artists in Ghana unless I decide not to pay you mind…

To the reggae selectors who are not telling the artists the truth and you following blindly like a dead goat your time will come.

Take sense out of nonsense

Good morning Ghana Reggae People
