Ataya King, founder of Ataya Nation, has officially commenced the celebration of his organization’s 5-year anniversary with a grand soccer fiesta. This milestone, proudly supported by local streaming platform Pebble and community movement The New Dawn, marks the beginning of the annual Ataya End of Year Party, an event dedicated to fostering unity and community spirit.
The Ataya End of Year Party, an annual tea celebration gathering, has grown into a key event in Ashaiman, drawing people from diverse backgrounds to come together, share experiences, and strengthen bonds. First held in 2020 at a tea base known as “Parliament” in Lebanon Zone One, Ashaiman, the event has since evolved, becoming a hub for meaningful conversations and connections within the community.
This year’s celebration holds special significance, marking five years of building and nurturing a community centered around tea culture and unity. Over the years, Ataya Nation has attracted notable figures like YouTuber Wodemaya, football legend Emmanuel Seyi Adebayor, and gospel singer Esther Smith, who have all shared in the Ataya journey.
To kick off the anniversary festivities, a friendly football match was organized between Ataya XI and Brukina XI. The match symbolized the spirit of camaraderie that Ataya Nation embodies, and served as an energetic start to the lineup of activities planned for the anniversary celebration. This soccer fiesta brought together community members and patrons, building excitement for the main event scheduled for November 30, 2024.
The event was made possible through partnerships with Pebble, a Ghanaian local content streaming app dedicated to delivering authentic Ghanaian stories, and The New Dawn, a non-political movement committed to community betterment in Ashaiman. Together, these partners have played a significant role in amplifying the impact of Ataya Nation’s work in the community.
In the lead-up to the main anniversary event, Ataya King has promised a series of engaging activities designed to bring the community closer and create lasting memories. The celebration will culminate in the grand *Ataya End of Year Party* on November 30, where guests can expect an enriching experience filled with culture, connection, and community pride.
