Stevens Institute of Technology – USA, in Ghana for admissions drive with Nekotech, meets Education Minister

PRESS RELEASE

Stevens Institute of Technology a world class top 100 university in the USA is being hosted by the world renowned Nekotech Center of Excellence, under the leadership of its Executive Chairperson, HE Rev Dr A.K. Ocansey who is also founder of the Africa-US Presidential Forum on STEM AI and MBA.

 

Stevens arrived in West Africa on September second in Ghana meeting the press and the Minister of Education, Hon Adutwum.
They left to Liberia with Nekotech to an major admissions drive from Dec 2-4, and will be returning to Ghana for a major drive at the Ga Mantse palace on 5th December and on 6th December at the African Regent Hotel.

Nekotech in partnership with its USA no collateral educational loan financiers allocated $100 million to Ghana and 25 Million to Liberia to provide full funding for students with GPA 3.0/4.0, holders of Bachelor’s degree in any field and aged 21-40 for Ghana and 25-40 for Liberia. The symbolic checks awarded directly to the qualified graduates of the two countries were received by Government officials at the Africa- US Presidential Forum on STEM AI MBA- held at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken NJ – USA on September 19, 2024.
Since then, the two countries have been preparing qualified students for the spring and fall 2025 intakes.


“This a very exciting time for Ghana and Liberia, as Sierra Leone and Malawian. Students have been enjoying this program since 2021. HE President Lazarus Chakwera won the “ Transform Nation award, while former President HE Dr Joyce Banda won the Trailblazer Award. These two Presidents are exemplary on our continent, said HE Rev Dr Ocansey.

 

There are several African countries President on the waiting list to join the Africa US Presidential Forum to access the no collateral educational loans and partial scholarships on offer through the nekotech program on STEM AI MBA.
In Liberia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs has been highly instrumental in the establishment of the program while in Ghana, through the Ministry of Education, the National service authority Ditector General received the $100 million on behalf of the government for the students.
Students from from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Stevens institute of Technology is over 150 years old and Nekotech is over 25 years old – together African students of Excellence will not be left behind this new era of STEM Artificial Intelligence and MBA.
