The Central Region of Ghana is abuzz with excitement as Afro Torch 2024, a three-day cultural extravaganza, prepares to descend upon Cape Coast this December.

In an exclusive interview with DjQwequ, Michael Orleans, CEO of Torchlight Tours, revealed the vision behind Afro Torch 2024.

 

“We’re committed to promoting Cape Coast’s tourism potential, highlighting its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. This event will provide an unforgettable experience, connecting diasporan communities with their roots and celebrating African excellence.”

 

The festival will feature traditional naming ceremonies, allowing diasporan participants to connect with their ancestral heritage.

 

Masquerade parades will showcase Ghanaian tradition, while cocktail nights and portrait fairs will provide opportunities for cultural exchange and celebration.

The All Black Beach Party promises to be a highlight of the event, celebrating Blackness, self-expression, and cultural pride. This joyful celebration will bring together attendees from across the globe, united in their love of African culture.

 

Orleans emphasized the significance of Afro Torch 2024, “We’re creating a platform for cultural exchange, self-discovery, and celebration. This event will ignite a sense of pride and belonging among attendees.”

 

Slated for December 24-26, Afro Torch 2024 is poised to become a flagship event for Cape Coast, cementing its status as a cultural hub.

 

With its rich history, stunning coastline, and warm hospitality, Cape Coast is the perfect backdrop for this cultural renaissance.

 

As Ghana continues to position itself as a beacon of African culture and heritage, Afro Torch 2024 is a shining example of the country’s commitment to preserving its traditions while embracing innovation.
