Today, Shazam continues to unveil “Shazam Fast Forward 2025,” its revamped list of yearly predictions, highlighting 10 artists to watch in Alternative, Rock, and Country music. To learn more about these artists and discover each batch of daily predictions throughout the rest of the week, music fans can now explore an all-new microsite!
Starting earlier this week and continuing through Friday, Shazam will unveil 10 artists per day, broken down into broader genres spanning Dance; Latin; Alternative, Rock, and Country; Pop; and Hip-Hop and R&B. Based on Shazam’s uniquely predictive data and algorithms, and coupled with the expertise of Apple Music’s global editorial team, this incredible selection of artists represents the biggest trends in music now and in the future. Each artist featured has shown early indicators of future growth, including early and consistent momentum in Shazam activity, as well as discovery trends in more than one country.

Shazam Fast Forward 2025 features 10 emerging Alternative, Rock, and Country artists from 5 countries (USA, Canada, Ireland, France, and Taiwan), across 5 sub-genres within the Rock/Country space (Country, Traditional Country, Alternative, Indie-Rock, and Rock).
Cameron Whitcomb
The Canadian Country singer first gained attention on Shazam in December 2023 in Canada and Sweden. His top song on Shazam is “Quitter,” and his top country for Shazam activity is the US. In November 2024 Cameron marked his debut on the Canadian charts with “Quitter”. The release of his Quitter – EP drove a surge in Shazam activity, with daily tags peaking about a month after its release.
Noeline Hofmann
The Canadian Country singer first appeared on Shazam’s radar in June 2024 in Canada and the USA. Her biggest song, “Purple Gas,” a collaboration with Zach Bryan, drove a surge in Shazam activity about a month after its release. The song spent a month on Shazam Norway chart, reaching as high as No. 3. Hofmann made her debut on the Apple Music’s Global Daily Top 100 in June 2024 with “Purple Gas.” The song went on to reach No. 32 on the global chart, and No. 12 and 23 in the Canada and U.S., respectively. Hofmann started touring late 2024, with more shows planned for 2025.
LUCKY LOVE
The French Alternative singer first appeared on Shazam’s radar in March 2023 in Switzerland. Their breakout song, “MASCULINITY (MJF Spotlight Session),” marked their debut on the worldwide chart in August 2023, peaking at No. 124. In September 2024, the studio version entered the global chart. Lucky Love debuted on the chart in their home country for the first time in August 2024, with “MASCULINITY” climbing to No. 7. Shazam activity for Lucky Love hit record levels in August 2024, driven by the viral success of “MASCULINITY (MJF Spotlight Session)” on social media.
Moody Joody
The US-based Alternative band first gained attention on Shazam in May 2021 in Japan. Their most popular song on Shazam is “Velvet Connection,”. Shazam activity for Moody Joody reached an all-time high shortly after the release of their Dream Girl – EP in November 2024. Moody Joody’s streams grew exponentially on Apple Music worldwide in 2024, up more than fivefold from 2023.
Adrien Nunez
The American Country singer first started to bubble on Shazam in August 2024 in South Africa. Nunez’s Daily Shazam reached an all-time high on the day he release his first single, “LOW ROAD.”
Gurriers
The Irish Indie-Rock band first appeared on Shazam’s radar in February 2023 in their home country. The group’s Shazam activity spiked the day they released their first album, ‘Come and See.’ The album’s lead single, also their top song on Shazam, “Top Of The Bill” led the day in terms of activity on Shazam. Gurriers started touring in late 2024 with more shows planned for 2025.
INOHA
The American Alternative band first gained traction on Shazam in March 2023 in Indonesia. The release of their debut album ‘ALOHA INOHA’ drove a surge in Shazam activity, with daily tags peaking a few months after its release. Their top song on Shazam is the album’s second single “Seventh Heaven.”
FUMON
The Taiwanese Rock band first popped on Shazam in March 2022 in their home country. The group’s Shazam activity spiked following the release of their first album, ‘When you suffer, you are blessed.’ Their top song on Shazam is “I’m Willing” and their top countries for Shazam activity are Taiwan followed by Mainland China.
Junior Varsity
The US-based Alternative band first started to bubble on Shazam in October 2024 in the UK. The band saw a surge in Shazam activity in October and November of 2024, following the release of their song “Cross The Street” in September. The track is the band’s top song on Shazam.
Zach Top
The American Country artist first gained attention on Shazam in February 2024 in Sweden. Zach Top made his Shazam chart debut in the U.S. and Canada in October and November with his hit song “I Never Lie,” the song spent 6 weeks and 3 weeks on the charts, respectively. The trending track is one of many songs gaining momentum off of his April 2024 album, ‘Cold Beer & Country Music.’ The album’s lead single “Sounds Like the Radio” is currently Zach Top’s top song on Shazam. He started touring in late 2024 with more shows planned for the new year.
