Ruth Seddoh appointed Acting Deputy Director-General of National Service Authority

In a major announcement, Ruth Dela Seddoh, the Deputy Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been appointed as the Acting Deputy Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA).

 

The appointment, effective January 22, 2025, was communicated in a formal letter signed by Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., Secretary to the President, in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119).

 

The letter praised Ms. Seddoh’s dedication to youth mobilization, which played a pivotal role in the NDC’s victory, and emphasized the President’s confidence in her ability to lead the Authority in driving youth empowerment initiatives.

 

The appointment is pending the advice of the NSA’s governing board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

 

Ms. Seddoh, in a heartfelt response to President John Dramani Mahama, expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her. She committed to working diligently to uphold the vision of the National Service Authority and to contributing meaningfully to Ghana’s development.

 

“This opportunity to serve under your leadership and contribute to the development of our nation is truly humbling,” she wrote.

 

Her appointment has been widely celebrated within the NDC and the Nation as whole, as her tireless efforts to mobilize the youth for the party’s success have been a hallmark of her political career. Many see her elevation as a fitting recognition of her hard work and leadership.
