
Ahotor FM proudly commemorated its 10th anniversary with a vibrant celebration held at N’Joy Hotel in Sakumono, Accra. Under the inspiring theme “Elevating Voices, Shaping Tomorrow,” the event highlighted the station’s remarkable journey and its commitment to community empowerment and democratic engagement.
A Decade of Dedication and Excellence:
General Manager Ahuma Bosco Ocansey expressed heartfelt gratitude and excitement, sharing that the event surpassed all expectations. He reflected on Ahotor FM’s unwavering dedication over the past ten years to amplifying community voices and fostering meaningful dialogue-especially during the pivotal 2024 elections. Bosco Ocansey praised the station’s team for their integrity, professionalism, and teamwork, which have been crucial in overcoming challenges and driving the station’s success.
He also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of former General Managers, past staff, and all who have supported the station’s mission over the years.
Vision for the Future:
Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, Founder and CEO of Ahotor FM and political advisor to the Vice President, shared exciting plans for the station’s future. He revealed ongoing efforts to strengthen Ahotor FM’s digital presence and announced ambitious plans to launch a television station aimed at engaging younger audiences across Ghana.
Words of Encouragement from Esteemed Guests:
The Chairman for the occasion, Hon. Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, Council of State member for the Volta Region, applauded Ahotor FM’s achievements and emphasized the importance of maintaining high professional standards as the station continues to grow.
Special guest of honor, former National Communications Authority (NCA) boss Paa Rock Van Pessey, encouraged the staff to innovate continuously. He urged them not to rest on past successes but to explore new and effective ways to reach audiences by leveraging the power of new media technologies.
Veteran journalist Kwesi Pratt admonished the media to be focused on the objective of the improvement in the lives of all Ghanaians in a society where no one goes to bed on an empty belly

The anniversary event was graced by a diverse group of attendees, including men of God, politicians such as Lawyer James Enu, Member of Parliament for Tema West, and Hon. Ludwig Tortimeh, the Municipal Chief Executive for Tema West, among others. Their presence underscored the significant role Ahotor FM plays in Ghana’s media landscape.
