Keznamdi features Masicka on Sophomore Album ‘Blxxd & Fyah’ – WATCH VIDEO

Kingston, Jamaica: On Friday, August 22, reggae firebrand Keznamdi released his highly anticipated sophomore album Blxxd & Fyah to much fanfare, cementing his place among the genre’s most fearless voices. The 12-track project is a fiery blend of social commentary, cultural reflection, and spiritual upliftment, featuring powerhouse collaborations with Kelissa, Mavado, and Masicka. From the introspective opener “I Am” with Kelissa, to the anthemic ganja ode “Bun Di Ganja” alongside Mavado, and the gratitude-filled “Forever Grateful” featuring Masicka—already accompanied by a striking official video—Keznamdi crafts an album that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant.

The project arrives five years after his acclaimed debut Bloodline, released in March 2020, which was hailed for its authenticity and genre-bending appeal. Recorded between Kingston, Miami, and London, Bloodline fused reggae, soul, hip-hop, and dancehall while exploring legacy, family, and cultural responsibility. The album boasted collaborations with Mortimer, Tory Lanez, and Chronixx, with standout tracks like “Skyline Drive” and “City Lock.” Its success was not only critical but also commercial, hitting No. 1 on Apple Music Albums (Global) in August 2020 and peaking at No. 8 on iTunes Albums (Global) two months later—a rare feat for a debut reggae set.

What makes Blxxd & Fyah even more impactful is the momentum leading into its release. Just days earlier, Keznamdi dropped a fiery freestyle dubbed “Hollywxxd” that went viral across social media. Intended as a casual teaser, the track unexpectedly ignited global buzz, with industry giants and cultural figures alike praising his lyrical sharpness. Dancehall icons Bounty Killer and Mavado, alongside artists like Ky-Mani Marley, Ding Dong, Serani, and Stonebwoy, all joined the chorus of acclaim.

Even outside of music, names like Olympian Ato Boldon, model Winnie Harlow, filmmaker Mykal Cushnie, and hip-hop heavyweight Swizz Beatz highlighted the freestyle, with Keznamdi humbly admitting, “We just release the song as a little thing people can gwaan vibe to until the album drop. But mi surprise fi see how the masses gravitate to the fiyah weh we blaze and for that we give thanks!”

Coming on the heels of singles such as “Pressure” and the Mavado-assisted “Bun Di Ganja,” this new body of work proves Keznamdi is not only sustaining his momentum but expanding reggae’s possibilities. With cross-genre collaborations, pan-African storytelling, and unflinching commentary on life’s struggles and triumphs, Blxxd & Fyah feels less like a collection of songs and more like a bold statement of intent.

Now available on all major streaming platforms, Blxxd & Fyah positions Keznamdi as one of the torchbearers of reggae’s future—bridging generations, borders, and sounds while keeping the heart of the music rooted in fire and truth.
