The final piece of the trilogy of public service announcements, is a simple message from Takoradi-based rapper, Bobo Dada Bee, encouraging all of us to stay home and save lives.
The song is a collaboration between kenkeyandfish.com and Accra-based producer, Dream Jay, with the aim of using music to communicate important messages and protocols, which will be important in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. ‘Tena Fie’ is a Fante phrase which translates as ”Stay home” and follows on from Zed Ay Kay’s ‘Armah Senegal’ a piece in pidgin which advocates for no handshakes and ‘Kaapete Mi’ by Soww Ffar, a song in Ga prompting Ghanaians to remember the importance of social distancing.
Bobo Dada Bee said ”It is really important that we are sharing these important messages with the masses. This virus is not something any of us can joke with and I thought I had to do my bit with a little song”. Bob Dada Bee is a multiple Western Music Award nominee and winner.
His infectious rap style has seen his rapid rise to the top of the Fante rap scene.
