Angel FM Accra: A Coup D’Etat or an Angelic take over? – Enock Agyepong questions

We’ve seen many takeover attempts in the industry from the likes of Zylofon to EIB etc but what we are seeing today from ABN looks strategic and it makes a lot of business sense.

Angel 102.9FM re entered the industry with a relaunch on Monday and within a week you can clearly tell that the future looks bright for them only if they don’t become complacent.

Just like Despite and unlike Multimedia the Brand ABN has products that are already selling on the market and obviously sales for the adonko bitters, hand sanitizers etc will skyrocket drastically and sustain the existence of its other branches just like what Despite have been able to achieve and inspire thousands with his neat fufu, This way chocolate etc.

I’ve followed the station from Monday and l can authoritatively say that they are a force to recon with.

The strength of Radio lies in the Morning show and Drive time and recently added is the News.

From Morning with Captain Smart in the Driving Seat and midmorning which is ok and the News which is secured with Kofi Adoma(Kofi Tv) and Kojo Dickson aka the Double K in position it is left with those in charge of the Drive Time show to work harder in order to establish and cement the takeover.

We also monitored the weekend entertainment and can boldly say that with an experience Presenter like Prince Kwesi Dadzie in the seat the weekend is guaranteed with good entertainment from serious industry players to their listeners.

One observation they need to be worked on is their frequency clarify(shiiii) and it should be done asap to give listeners a clearer sound.
Secondly their graphics designers in terms of Flyers should also sit up since they represents the face of the brand.

In all listening to them and watching them online makes radio beautiful again and we wish them all the best.
