MURPHY DREAD: Nigeria’s Frontline Man for Reggae/Dancehall Promotions
Born in 11th September in Jos Plateau state Nigeria where he grew up listening to R&B ,Hip Hop and Reggae music recorded radio programs of David Rodigan, Chris Goldfinger, Barry G e.t.c After high school and college he Joined Peace fm 90.5fm radio Jos for a year then move to Lagos and joined Coca Cola training school Ikeja Lagos and Institute for industrial training Ogba Lagos Nigeria trained on Electro- pneumatic/ Programmable logic controls/Industrial safety , wrote the city and guilds British exams with British council Lagos. Did technical training with Institute of technology Ogba Ikeja Lagos.
Coca cola gave him employment after passing his exams and training and sent him to Kano Nigeria. While on assignment in Kano he Joined Ray-power fm kano because of his passion for entertainment and Reggae Music.
By 2007 he moved to Abuja Nigeria by 2011 resigned his appointment with coca cola plant Abuja and moved into entertainment fully till date . Murphy Dread was privileged to Mc AFROPOP ARTISTS like P-Square, Dbanj, and Ruggedman concerts in Kano City Nigeria. He has anchored Nigeria Independence event in Ransburg South Africa 2014 when he visited South Africa , Miss Nasarawa state University beauty contest 2015 , Jamrock Party Abuja 2016 etc Murphy Dread was privileged to share stage as a Hypeman with djs like Dj Sose, Dj Humility in Nigeria and Dj Scratch in South Africa.
In 2014 he went to Johannesburg South Africa where he met a REGGAE ARTIST/PRODUCER El supreme @ house of Tandoor yeoville South Africa and recorded his single Turn Up . 9th September 2015 to mark his birthday 11th in the month of September he released the single..
Murphy Dread has interviewed Rymzo , General pype (Nigeria) Wyre (Kenya) Nc Dread (South Africa)Stone Bwoy , Jupiter(Ghana), Ras King Mas, Jamaican reggae Dancehall artistes/producers/promoters via phone and also live in the radio studio in Abuja Nigeria , from Jamaica Sexy diva Yanique , Busy Signal,Lutan Faya,Exco Levi, Lt Stitchie, Donisha, Kelissa, Raine, Bushman,cocoa tea, Tarrus Riley, Chris Martins, Queen Ifrica, Marlon Asher, TJ Records, Shane C Brown, Bobby Konders Hot97 N.Y etc
He has also covered some few events eg Freedom Concert in Ghana , Reggae events in Lagos, Jos, Benue, Port Harcourt Nigeria. Got many PRESS MEDIA passes for festival Europe, Us and Carribean e.g Rototom reggae festival, Redbull clash south Africa, Reggae Sumfest, IRAWMA etc

in Abuja Nigeria.
In 2017 December 4th he held his 1st Reggae event tag ” Abuja Reggae Festival” a yearly reggae/afropop event.
