The year 2020 has been several things for many creatives all over the world and for Abudebi Zonjon, formerly known as DXD – its time for a total reset.
At a private gathering of a select few industry stakeholders organized by Motionhype Ghana and Abudebi Zonjon, he revealed the rationale behind his name change and why 2020 presented the best case scenario for this decision.
“For close to a decade running things as DXD, myself together with my team have had to deal with so many challenges with regards to identity – and personality. Tried as we did, the gap between the identity and the personality kept widening. We are proud of everything we have achieved so far with DXD, however with growth comes change, and Abudebi Zonjon is here to continue from where DXD left off, with more clarity of the musical journey we have been on since 2009.
Abudebi Zonjon who is currently promoting his debut single – Champion – joined a select few of industry stakeholders to assess the effects of the pandemic on creative businesses in Ghana and lessons learnt for the future. At the meeting he shared his long held vision urging creatives to unite and utilize the power of the creative community, banking on it for education and collective progress.
