Ghana’s National Hockey Team, the Black sticks will defend the colours of the country in the the African Hockey Nations Cup in the coming days.
In preparation towards the upcoming Hockey nations cup in Egypt has named its final squad. The squad released in the early hours of today comprised players mainly from clubs in the Greater Accra hockey league.
The former Trustees striker made the final squad after some good performances. He is ready to make his nation proud.
It’s the 11th edition of the Men’s Hockey Africa Cup of Nations, which is being organised by the African Hockey Federation. In February 2021 it was announced that the tournament would be held alongside the women’s tournament at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium in Accra, Ghana from 17 to 23 January 2022.
The black sticks with Francis upfront were bronze medalists in Egypt 2017 which South Africa were crowned champions and the host nation first runners up.
