Ahotor FM launches Basic Inter-School Radio Quiz Tournament: Academic Showdown

Ahotor 92.3 FM is set to launch its Radio Quiz Tournamentfor basic schools which commences on Saturday, July 13. Dubbed “Ahotor FM’s Academic Showdown: Battle of the Brain,” this initiative aims to foster teamwork and academic excellence among Junior High School (JHS) students in the Tema West Municipality. The quiz competition is organized in collaboration with the Tema West Municipal Education Directorate and will feature 24 basic schools in the municipality.

The quiz tournament will air live on Ahotor 92.3 FM every Saturday from 11.00 am to 12.00 midday. This eagerly anticipated programme promises to be an engaging and intellectually stimulating experience for all participants, showcasing the bright minds of our young students and promoting healthy academic competition.

Sinomie Instant Noodles, the major sponsor of this event, isgenerously supporting this initiative, recognizing the importance of educational development and community engagement. Their partnership underscores a shared commitment to enriching the lives of young students and fostering a culture of learning and achievement.

The General Manager of Ahotor FM, Ahuma Bosco Ocansey aka Daddy Bosco says, “The Academic Showdown quiz is more than just a competition; it is an embodiment of our mission to contribute to the community through education. By organizing this quiz tournament, we aim to provide a platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge, build confidence, and inspire their peers while engaging in a battle of brains.” He added that, This event aligns with our broader goal of championing development through education and giving back to the community we serve.

On his part, the Training Officer for the Tema West Municipal Directorate of the Ghana Education Service, Rev Emmanuel Appiah expressed their appreciation to Ahotor FM for such an initiative for the municipality.
