Ahotor FM marks 10 Years with acts of Care and Community Gratitude
As part of its 10th anniversary celebration, Ahotor FM rolled out two impactful community outreach events that reflected its strong commitment to social responsibility and appreciation for its loyal audience.
On Thursday, 3rd July 2025, the station hosted a free health screening at its premises in partnership with LEKMA Hospital. The exercise began at 9 a.m. with health professionals offering vital checks such as blood pressure, blood sugar, HIV testing, and BMI assessments. Later in the day, additional services were provided by Sterling Smile Dental Clinic, Obaatampa Prostate Herbal Center, and Diamond Homeopathic and Rehabilitation Clinic. The event drew over 100 participants from both near and far, all eager to check their health status and receive medical guidance.
“This initiative was our way of giving back to the community that has stood by us for a decade,” said Mr. Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, General Manager of Ahotor FM. “We believe true impact goes beyond the airwaves.”
Ahotor FM did not stop on the health screening. On Friday, 25th July 2025, the station followed up with a spirited celebration dubbed “A Day of Beauty and Gratitude”, organized in collaboration with Abrantie College, a leading cosmetology institute. The forecourt of Ahotor FM was transformed into a cheerful beauty hub where attendees enjoyed free services including braiding, manicures, pedicures, facials, and weave-ons, all courtesy of Abrantie’s skilled students.
Both events brought together warmth, laughter, and a shared sense of community, underscoring Ahotor FM’s belief in connecting with people through more than just radio.
As Ahotor FM steps into its next chapter, it remains grounded in its mission to serve, uplift, and give back.
