Suté Iwar tells Apple Music About the Inspiration for his Album,  ‘ULTRALIGHT’

With the album I was trying to really project where I am in my life right now. I feel good to be in the studios I get to be in, working with the people I get to work with. I’m in a really joyous mode, so the album is carrying people along and that’s the light. It’s ‘ULTRALIGHT” because it’s like you want to live in that highest form of your light as much as you can, and stay positive. Even with how the world is now – so much information, so many distractions, so many comparisons, so many things that can be heavy – you have to stay in your light, and shine through all of that.

Suté Iwar tells Apple Music What To Expect From ‘ULTRALIGHT’

My intention is always to make beautiful music. Sometimes it’s uptempo, sometimes it’s mellow, so it’s gonna be that same range. Sometimes I’m rapping, sometimes I’m singing, it’s just a full experience. That’s what the album is: a full musical experience.

It’s pretty much the same with the features – you know what to expect when you hear WurlD on a song, he’s gonna come through with some crazy melodies. WurlD, Tay [Iwar], all those guys. Everyone on the album really brought something special, they brought their personality to the song.

Suté Iwar tells Apple Music about His Most Collaborative Project Yet

I think it’s a bit different for me this time because of how much time I spent on this album – I’ve been working on this album since August 2021. There’s so many collaborations on this album, it’s my most collaborative project ever so just so many moving parts and I’m really proud of the work I put into the album so maybe that’s where the jitters are from. I’ve put in all this work and now I’m releasing it to the world.
