Aymos Tells Apple Music About His Track, “Bahle Bahlukile”
It’s a beautiful song, inspired by my girlfriend, whom I love dearly. We’re always out on weekends, gigging through the night, [and] literally come back home when everyone is asleep—and I would really wake everyone up. Everyone is up and trying to understand—“How [was]your day? What were you doing?” You know, in a sense of jealousy, sometimes—“Let me see who you were with; where you were staying,” and and and. And really, on that song, I’m opening up to her, like, “Baby girl, you don’t have to worry about anything. When daddy’s on the road, he’s really doing it for all of us, and we are responsible. God is watching over us, so [you] can sleep!” I dedicated that song to her, trying to explain to her that God’s got us.
Aymos Tells Apple Music About His Forthcoming Album, ‘Impilo’
‘Impilo’ means different things to a whole lot of different people. How I would like my fold to unfold, it’s all in the spirituality, and I hope people will relate more than anything to my music, because it just makes it easier for them to keep bumping it over and over again.
It’s a beautiful project and it actually took two full years to complete it. Shout out to my team for being patient; all the producers who invested in this project; the collaborations; all the features… everybody—shout out.
