Apple Music announces Sarkodie as the featured artist for this month’s Rap Life Africa.
Apple Music’s Rap Life Radio, presented by Global Editorial Head of Hip-Hop and R&B, Ebro Darden will feature Ghanaian rapper, songwriter and entrepreneur, Sarkodie (real name Michael Owusu Addo) on this week’s episode. The two chat about Sarkodie’s latest single “Better Days (feat. BNXN fka Buju)” from his latest album drop JAMZ – available to stream on Apple Music.
Alongside Sarkodie, Rap Life Radio also features a new track from South African breakout rapper Blxckie, called “Werrkk feat. Mench”, and a new track from Nigerian rapper Vector, called “Soki Symbol”.

Sarkodie’s rich discography has made him an icon of hiplife–a hybrid genre that combines hip-hop with Ghana’s highlife melodies, while also popularising “Azonto”– a dance craze that involves using hand gestures to mime common activities and communicate with others.
