Apple Music celebrates “Boss Zonke Forever” and Riky Rick’s extraordinary legacy – April’s Featured Artiste for ‘Rap Life Africa’

Rap Life Radio, presented by Apple Music host Ebro Darden, will celebrate the extraordinary life and legacy of South African hip-hop megastar Riky Rick. Ebro and Africa Now Radio host, Nandi Madida, chat about his latest posthumous album Boss Zonke Foreveravailable to stream now on Apple Music.

Continuing Riky’s mission to “do it for the culture”, some of his most frequent collaborators got together, alongside his family, to compile an album brimming with Riky’s love for storytelling and community-building.

The record features 17 powerhouse tracks, with features from Cassper Nyovest, Elaine, 25K, Blxckie, Focalistic, Dee Koala, Gemini Major and Nia Pearl, who each carry the torch with the same meticulous artistry for which Riky became known.

Alongside Riky Rick, Rap Life Radio will also feature ODUMODUBLVCK’s new single LEGOLAS from his latest mixtape THE MACHINE IS COMING, illustrating the Nigerian artist’s innovative flair for rap and Afro-fusion soundscapes, with compelling rhythms, standout lyrical narratives and his signature Okporoko Rhythms. Body from Black Sherif’s new album IRON BOY, will also feature, as the Konongo native once again shows off his dexterous sound, with ruminative, soul-inflected grooves.

Boss Zonke’s album highlight “Cishe Ngaposta” (featuring 25K, Focalistic, Blxckie, K.Keed, Blue Pappi and Lowfeye), is an extravagant street anthem that captures both the wisdom and unapologetic high-life energy that Riky Rick epitomises, now and forever.
