Apple Music drops New ‘Africa Now’ DJ Mix featuring AD DJ
Apple Music today released this month’s Africa Now DJ Mix featuring trailblazing Ghanaian DJ, AD DJ.
Affectionately dubbed “The People’s Champ”, AD DJ is shaping a sound that transcends borders and genres. His sets are a euphoric fusion of Afrobeats, Highlife, R&B and Hip-Hop, designed to electrify audiences while preserving a deep cultural essence.
“This mix is my passport,” he tells Apple Music. “It’s club-tested, crowd-approved—a celebration of where we are and where we’re going. Africa’s sound isn’t just now, it’s next.”
Since winning the YFM Campus DJ competition, he has carved a distinctive path for himself—evolving from a local favorite into a globally recognized curator of vibes. A two-time winner of Best Afrobeats DJ of the Year at the Ghana DJ Awards, with appearances in Germany, France and South Africa, AD DJ continues to prove that African sound is going global.
Speaking on the feeling that best describes his exclusive Africa Now DJ Mix, AD DJ says, “Euphoria. That’s the word. This mix moves through moments—highs and drops—in a way that mimics how it feels when the room is locked in. It’s high-energy but emotional too. A proper vibe ride.”
