Apple Music today announced Nigerian-American singer-songwriter, Teledalase, as the latest artist in its Africa Rising artist development program.
“I am deeply honoured and beyond excited to be chosen as the cover star for the latest African Rising Star feature,” she tells Apple Music. “This recognition means the world to me, and I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support that has fueled my journey.”
Taking inspiration from timeless artists like Bob Marley, Whitney Houston, Adele, Seinabo Sey, Jacob Banks and Sola Allyson, Teledalase’s sound is a journey of the soul.
She made her debut in 2022 with a series of singles showcasing her diverse sound, followed by the release of her first EP, The ones who didn’t die, Pt.1, further cementing her stay in the music industry.
“Africa is brimming with talent, and to be spotlighted among the voices shaping the future of our sound is truly humbling,” she tells Apple Music. “Thank you to everyone who believes in my craft, this is just the beginning!”
Teledalase’s Africa Rising feature comes just before the release of her highly anticipated new EP, The Bad Wife Has No Tongue, a deeply moving offering that will showcase her angelic vocal prowess.
