Ghana international, Joseph Attamah Lawerh was in action for Kayserispor on Saturday when the team secured their first win of the season in a 1-0 away win over İstanbul Başakşehir.
The talented defender cum midfielder continued from his last week’s performance where he got an assist in the team’s 1-1 home draw against Adana Demirspor.
After an impressive performance despite his side’s loss in the first game where he came from the bench, the 27-year-old was named in the starting line-up by manager Hikmet Karaman for the second time as they searched their first 3 point of the season.
The Ghanaian started in midfield alongside Turkey international Ibrahim Akdag playing the entire duration and bossing the midfield against İstanbul Başakşehir, to keep the home side at bay.
The versatile midfielder signed a 3-year-contract with the club ahead of the start of last season putting up an impressive performance in the Turkish Super Lig.
After making the starting line up for the second time in a row, his side is yet to lose a game, winning 1 and drawing 1 with 4 points and 12th on the table after 3 games.
He has so far played 225 minutes of football making him one of the most consistent Ghanaian defenders/midfielders playing abroad and capable of helping the Ghana senior national team in its games.
Despite his many appearances in his side’s league campaign last season, it’s quite shocking the latter has not been in CK Akunnor’s recent call ups.
