After the release of Ay Poyoo’s viral hit single “GOAT” (Aponkye) which has over 2 million views and counting on YouTube, Ay Poyoo officially started his journey as a comic musician.
Without any music experience before the viral hit, Ay Poyoo had to learn on the job and keep up with what he started. It’s a fact he couldn’t release any song bigger than “GOAT” but he stayed relevant with other great songs in his catalog. “Bae”, “Poison”, “Like Mike” and a few others include his mind-blowing appearance on “Blessings” by Akhan.
Ay Poyoo had to do a lot of adjustments to his career and those include defining his genre of music, his approach to music as a comic artist, and working on his management team.
The tough transitions and adjustments took place behind the scenes and he’s ready to pour it all out with his new EP dubbed “Better Than” scheduled for release in November 2022. He has a few songs to release in anticipation of the new EP. This starts with the official music video for “Commot For There” followed by the EP title track “Better Than” and then the “GOAT” remix before the full EP shows up.
“Commot For There” simply talks about him being the best at what he does and if you can’t notice that, just move out the way for those who appreciate his style to come closer.
He promised a great EP and also said this is his best so far. Enjoy the music video and follow him on social media.
