Blakk Waila — the rising Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall Act who doubles as a Graphic Artist celebrates his birthday, today, Tuesday, July 14, 2020.
In some vivid reflections on himself, the singer takes us on a quick time travel to one of his favourite songs he calls “Agbo Shikome”.
“Agbo Shikome” a Ga phrase which translates as a “Big One” sarcastically he coins from describing a very endowed lady.
Explaining the concept of the song and juxtaposing it with the video, Blakk Waila says the lyrics he put together was from a real life story with bits of fiction woven together to make an awesome Afrobeats jam. The song was voiced on the “Dagaati Riddim” produced by Australian based Ghanaian Jock, DJ Kofi Dagaati, one of the leading Ghanaian faces promoting artistes there.
“Agbo Shikome is a piece of work describing a young and vibrant woman with an expansive butt. I had to put the lyrics together creatively in a way that appeals to fans and still maintain some level of respect for women with such a curvy figure so I don’t come across with foul lyrics”, Blakk Waila explained with his usual smile across his nice set of teeth.
The video was shot on locations in Mamprobi (Hoo-Gah Restaurant) and Tesano — suburbs in Accra, the Capital city of Ghana. It was directed by Bold Pictures.
