Burna Boy wins first Grammy with “Twice As Tall” Album

 Afrobeats star, Burna Boy wins Best Global Music Album category after losing out to Angelique Kidjo last year.

The Nigerian singer and songwriter has made a bigger comeback in the 2021 installment of the awards.

The singer won the Best Global Music Album category for his latest body of work, ‘Twice As Tall’.

He beats American, Brooklyn-based afrobeat band Antibalas; a group of Tuareg musicians, Tinariwen; British-Indian composer, Anoushka Shankar and Brazilian-American singer, Bebel Gilberto

The 63rd Grammy Awards was held in Los Angeles. Traditionally billed as “music’s biggest night”, this year’s ceremony is different because of the coronavirus pandemic.
