The 5th edition of one of the country’s current greatest award schemes will be held on March 26th, 2022, after nominations were out a few weeks ago.
However, the winners of the next rated acts from the various regions of Ghana have been announced, with the current face of Ewe Music emerging as the winner of the next rated act from the Volta Region.
According to the organizers of the 3 music award scheme, the next rated acts are nominated based on how hard-working and leading these acts are in their respective regions. These guys are not signed to any major record label and are doing everything possible by themselves to get to the top.
Chief One who was among 2 other contenders for Volta Region emerged Winner for Volta; he was in close tie with JJ Gonami and Mawuli Younggod. Chief One has been buzzing from Volta Region the whole of 2021 into 2022 – he kept trending on mainstream platforms from December 2021 till date. He has dropped a debit EP titled “Here I Come”, a 6-tracked body of work which has gunned over 300,000 streams across platforms.
