UK based Ghanaian afrobeat/afropop artiste Danny Lampo has been nominated in the maiden edition of Ghana Music Awardswards France, He was nominated under the category of “Best Diaspora Afrobeat Artiste Of The Year” and “Best Diaspora Afropop Artiste Of The Year”. Danny Lampo is known for songs like Paper, Kung Fu, Eat, Ebony, Number One and Make We Enter. Danny has won several awards to his credit. His song Ebony became a street Anthem in Europe and other parts of the world and got featured on BBC.
Organizers of Ghana Music Awards France officially announced the nominees for the maiden edition on 29th May at Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra.
The nominees’ night was attended by entertainment industry players and dignitaries including Abeiku Santana, MUSIGA president Bessa Simons, French Ambassador to Ghana Anne Sophie AVÉ, and some others.
Speaking during the unveiling, Monitored by Blogger Attractive Mustapha Nii Okai Inusah, Abeiku Santana who is a member of the Ghana Music Awards France board expressed confidence that the awards scheme will contribute highly to the bilateral relationship between musicians and key industry players both in Ghana and France. He stressed on the fact that the event will go a long way to deepen Ghana’s prospects with regard to tourism.
Out of the 27 categories of nominations released, Kuami Eugene leads with 13 nominations.
