Fantastic and joyous could possibly be the only words from anyone who witnessed the fourth Edition of Santa On TheStreets (SOTS). The Dream Believers Foundation’s flagship event ‘Santa On The Streets’ came to life on the 25th December, 2021 at the Kweiman Presby School Park in the Ga-East Municipality.
The event since 2017 is the first of its kind that brings together the young and old dressed in branded Santa Claus (Father Christmas) outfits with bags full of gifts, sharing of food, drinks, medical supplies and serves as an avenue to educate the people in the selected area for that year’s Christmas festivities.
It couldn’t have kicked off without an educative question and answer session about COVID-19, followed by sharing of food with drinks, presentation of medical supplies, dancing competition and other entertaining activities.
The event saw a happy and thrilling audience of over 300.
Aside from the event being noted for selfless community giving, this year’s platform was also used to educate the general public on COVID–19 prominently laying emphasis on measure to adhere to in order to protect oneself from the pandemic.
The event also took the opportunity to scout for talents for its “Make It Count” a youth empowerment project of the Dream Believers Foundation.
As a part of the foundation’s contribution towards fighting the COVID-19 and malaria, the foundation shared nose masks and mosquito nets to people in the Kweiman locality.
Santa On The Streets was proudly supported by Super Malt, Power Malt, Ruford Locals and Honourable Peter Geh.
