#EndSarsPotest
Protest songs, a necessary evil and a tool for social change at the same time a social movement is one of the fastest mediums to create awareness, educate, inform and entertain, clearly creating a perfect picture of the voice of the people. As paradoxical as it may sound, musicians rock shoulders with politicians, lawyers, inventors, engineers, etc in terms of clout, influence and power. Most musicians have risen above doing mediocre music because they know music travels at the speed of sound but it depends on the kind of content you’re churning out and the quality of sound.
I decided to create a playlist of top 7 protest songs against the police brutalities in our cousin country Nigeria where innocent revolutionaries are facing injustices. These songs you’re about to hear are not just ordinary songs, they carry crowns of heavy emotions. NIGERIA LIVES MATTER!!!
Without much i do, below are the songs, it doesn’t follow any sequence:
1. Fela Kuti – Sorrow, Tears & Blood
2. Pzeefire – Suffer Suffer
3. Burna Boy – Monsters You Made
4. Shatta Wale – Fvck Sars
5. Stonebwoy – Run Go
6. Epixode – Too Much
7. Vybz Kartel
