Flodoo gains nomination – Ghana Music Awards Europe 2024

UK based Ghanaian gospel singer, songwriter and performer, Florence Dovlo popularly known as Flodoo has been named as part of the nominees of this year’s Lawson Herbal Ghana Music Awards Europe 2024.

The mind-blowing masterpiece of Flodoo’s song, “Wonder” which features Ghanaian versatile artiste, Nii Funny got her into the “Best diaspora collaboration of the year” in this prestigious award scheme.

This year’s edition of the scheme’s operation and is being headlined by Lawson Herbal. The awards scheme intends on celebrating the talents and works of outstanding Ghanaian acts in the country as well as the diaspora.

The Best Collaboration category features collaborations such as Eva Diva featuring Abronomaa Ortega’s “What is my name,” Lady Sledge featuring KG with “Jealous,” and Benji featuring Kofi Kinata with “Apology.” Additional nominees include Flodoo featuring Nii Funny with “Wonders,” Tina Tee featuring Noble Nketia with “My Testimony,” and Koffi Nyat featuring Sherifa Gunu with “Tamale.”

Getting Nii Funny on a project, which brought her nomination to a young music brand such as Flodoo is a big deal and is worth celebrating. The anointed woman of God will surely take these nomination and the possibility of winning as stepping stones for the beautiful songs to be released from his camp.

All roads lead to Amsterdam on September 7, where the 2024 edition of the Ghana Music Awards Europe will take place. The event aims to promote Ghanaian musical culture across Europe and celebrate musicians in the diaspora for their excellence.
