Ghana: Kwdoxa Foundation donates to Madina Polyclinic and orphanage

Kwdoxa Foundation, a charitable nonprofit based in Ghana held a donation campaign to bring happiness and smiles to mothers and children who suffer from trauma and social neglect, benefitting three institutions, including the Madina Polyclinic.

 

Representatives from the Foundation were welcomed at the Madina Polyclinic’s maternity unit by on-duty nurses and doctors, led by Mrs. Bridget Amy Zaukuu (DCHSA), Head of Administration for the Ghana Health Service at Madina Polyclinic.

 

“The Foundation presented its first batch of medical supplies in the clinic that day on December 9, 2022”, said a representative of the nonprofit to TheAfricanDream.net.

 

 

In a letter of appreciation addressed from the clinic and signed by Mrs. Zaukuu, the healthcare institution, expressed their gratitude for the donations and hoped that the organization would continue its good works annually.

 

“The Management and the entire staff of Madina Polyclinic, [located at] Rawlings Circle, wish to express our profound gratitude to you for your kind donation to us in this period of economic challenges. These items will aid proper practical and sharpen the skills of our staff during healthcare delivery,” the letter said.

Among the items Kwdoxa Foundation donated to the Polyclinic were a number of medical supplies that included a weighing scale, foetal doppler, pulse oximeter and some bedsheets. The rest were glucometer, toddler’s scale, chargeable lamp, B/P apparatus, and fetal thermometer, among other baby essentials.

 

“This kind gesture of yours is highly appreciated, and we want you to know that we are very grateful. We will ensure that the donated items will be used for their intended purpose at the facility, and we look forward to more of such donations in the future. We thank you for your choice of Madina Polyclinic in this regard,” the letter concluded.

Later that day, the Kwdoxa Foundation visited two orphanages: Motherly Love in Kwabenya, Ghana, and the Caring Hand of God in Accra, Ghana. The orphans and their carers showed their gratitude for the food gifts and other necessities presented to them.

The Foundation generally supports struggling single mothers and teenage mothers who have been abandoned by their families or have no source of livelihood. They also support females in disreputable or less privileged environment and states of mind.

“The holidays are indeed a period for sharing joy, love, and peace, and Kwdoxa Foundation ensured that the polyclinic and two orphanages, all respectively located in Accra, Ghana, recieve the holiday cheer,” said the foundation to TheAfricanDream.net in a phone interview.
