Ghanaian artistes promote foreign interviews than local one – Kobby Kyei

Celebrated blogger, philanthropist and trained teacher Kobby Kyei has called out most Ghanaian artistes for being prompt in sharing their international interviews other than the ones steered by local presenters on their home-grown platforms. He believes they place premium on them because they are “international”.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz with KMJ on Hitz FM, the blogger explained that, the attitude put up by artistes does not encourage bloggers to focus on sharing more local content onto their pages.

“Most of the artistes are appreciating foreign content even more than their own. You know why? Let me give you a typical example: You go for an interview on BBC, Radio 1 and Tim Westwood […] they come here to do freestyles all the time. They don’t even share. But when they go on Tim Westwood, they share it because they think that is international”, he said.

With reference to that, the blogger advocated that artistes should replicate the energy they exert into promoting their international interviews into the local ones, in order to encourage bloggers to also push their contents onto their pages.

“Let’s all appreciate ourselves. Our artistes are doing amazingly well. We are here to support them, they are also there to support us. It should be 50/50. A win-win for both of us”, he admonished.
