The leadership of the Ghana Real Estate Professionals Association (GREPA) has paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s Minister of Works and Housing, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, to discuss the implementation of the Real Estate Agency Act, key concerns within the industry, the development of a national property data system, and to extend an invitation to the Minister to deliver a keynote speech at the upcoming Africa Real Estate Conference & Expo (ARCE 2025 PropTech) on the Topic: Innovative Approaches to Affordable Housing; Leveraging Technology and Collaboration
During the meeting, GREPA highlighted the importance of full implementation of the Real Estate Agency Act (Act 1047) to enhance transparency, ethical practice, and professional standards in Ghana’s real estate sector. The discussion also covered challenges facing industry professionals, including unregulated practices, land documentation issues, and the need for a comprehensive national property data system to improve property transactions, valuations, and investment decisions.
