Happy Daffodils Launches operation: “Theory Is Not Enough” With Transformative Visit to Adaklu Ahunda

Happy Daffodils has officially launched its flagship initiative, Operation: Theory Is Not Enough, beginning with a needs-assessment visit to Adaklu Ahunda in the Volta Region. For years, pupils of Adaklu Ahunda Kpodzi Basic School have learned ICT solely through drawings on a blackboard, memorising terms like “mouse”, “keyboard”, and “monitor” without ever touching a real computer.
The organisation’s visit on 7th November 2025 revealed the full extent of this challenge: the school currently has zero computers, relying instead on picture books of computers.

Happy Daffodil’s vision and target is to equip the school with 15 desktop computers, surge protectors, cooling systems, and furniture by January 2026. The organisation is calling on corporate partners, donors, and well-wishers to help bridge the digital divide and replace blackboard diagrams with real, hands-on ICT learning tools.

During interaction with the Headmaster, teachers, School Management Committee, local leaders including the Town Linguist and Assemblyman, the Happy Daffodils team was met with both warmth and deep concern.
The Community leaders described a computer lab as a “dream come true” and expressed optimism that this new partnership would bring lasting change.
The initiative, inspired by the legacy of the founder Celestine Agropah’s late mother, Bertha, aims to move beyond words.

Supporters can contribute through financial donations or by providing used office computers and essential equipment.
