Walshy Fire of Major Lazer group says he is very optimistic that “Asaase Sound Clash” featuring Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale will pull traction more than Bounty Killer and Beenie Man did with “Verzuz”.
The highly elated Musician/Producer says its an occasion for Ghana and Africa to prove to the world that they got the numbers.
“I am glad this is happening. For a long time Africa has been underrated in terms of numbers when it comes to music streaming and concerts. This will be a fine occasion for the world outside Africa to know the level of command these guys (Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, as well as other artistes have). I’m not gonna miss it. I will be tuned in and watch it.” — Walshy Fire
On His Relationship with Stonebwoy & Shatta Wale:
“Stonebwoy is like my brother. We communicate very often. The last time we spoke was about two days ago. I’m yet to meet with Shatta Wale. He was on the ‘Already’ song we worked on with Beyoncé. I can’t wait to meet him.” (Walshy Fire)
He was put on the spotlight by Seani B to pick who he thinks will win the “Asaase Sound Clash” but he frankly said he won’t answer it and would rather leave it to the fans to decide.
