Renowned Musician and Composer, Israel Maweta, has been announced as a special performer at this year’s Ghana Tourism Awards 2024 at the Regional level for Volta.
Slated for Friday, September 20, he is expected to serenade guests and nominees at the ceremony which will be held at the plush Volta Serene Hotel in Ho. The show starts from 5:30pm on the night.
Every year, the Ghana Tourism Authority organizes Tourism Awards to celebrate excellence among the tourism value chains; this is aimed at rewarding hard working stakeholders and tourism institutions at the Regional Level.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “celebrating innovation recognizing excellence in ghana’s tourism sector.”
This year the Volta Regional Tourism Awards would Hon. Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, Volta Regional Minister as its Guest Of Honour. Also in attendance will be Mama Bobi III, Queenmother of Bake Clan in Ho Bankoe.
In all, more than 15 Industry Players would receive different categories of awards including Honorary Awards.
Areas to be awarded includes the hospitality and culinary, travel, trade, tourism, tourist sites, tourist influencers/media platforms among others, who have excelled within the year.
Israel Maweta will be joined by The Volta Heritage Dance Ensemble and others to serenade the audience.
