Blakk Rasta has dropped a big bombshell on live television when he openly said he has received his (controversial) “UN Award as the Minister for Ganja Affairs. Everybody is receiving UN Award so I just got mine, a water bottle award for representing marijuana.”
Blakk Rasta was on popular TV3 show “Music Music” to serenade fans with his “Timbuktu By Road” Album — a twin Album CD with Reggae and Afrobeats — the first of its kind released by any African musician with such a tall list of songs.
He played a 45 minutes set with crazy and energy live band with his Herbalist Band & tingly squirmy Kuchoko Dancers. Over 20 songs were listed to be played on full set but due to limited time, Blakk Rasta had to play less than 15 songs; even with this list he managed to play abridged versions of the songs leaving fans jumping, dancing and smiling all over the place inside Studio B. This year’s contestants for “Ghana’s Most Beautiful” were also in the audience and grooved to Blakk Rasta’s set. You might want to take a look at some snippets we picked from his performance last night (Saturday, September 5, 2020).
Blakk Rasta is a very vocal and conscious revolutionist with string Pan-African roots. He runs the biggest historic and socio-economic radio magazine on Zylofon 102.1fm called “Taxi Driver”, it airs every week day from Monday to Friday between 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
Rising Ghanaian female Reggae/Dancehall Singjay, Renner, was on the same set. She performed earlier before Blakk Rasta.
