This is the first single off his anticipated EP. The EP is expected to feature a couple of club-banging Afrobeats and some conscious hip hop.
Jadu believes that the internet has been a blessing for artists of this generation as being an independent artist is now the route, and that is only possible because of the internet.
Jadu revealed on Yfm before the release of Go Nam that music runs in his blood, as he grew up watching his grandfather and his friends drum and dance to music they composed themselves under a thatch hut in front of their family house.
However, it wasn’t until he listened to his senior brother’s mixtapes that featured Batman(Samini), Mugeez, and others that he felt the calling to write his own rhymes.
Describing his music as an infusion of hip life, Afrobeats, amapiano, and hip hop, Jadu said that his pain and happiness are the main factors that inspire his sound. He uses music to vent or share his feelings as he doesn’t talk much.
He’s new Single Go Nam aka Let’s Go talks about the need to keep moving regardless of the obstacles we face. The song was delivered in his native tongue Ewe coupled with English on an Amapiano beat that will keep you dancing. Go Nam literally means get out of my way.
On this single, Jadu advocates for the need to follow one’s on path and not pay heed to what others have to say.
