Fresh from a pair of performances at the 2021 staging of Dream Weekend in Negril and Marco Polo (Ocho Rios) respectively, along with a global endorsement from the Jamaican superstar sprint quartet (Elaine, Shelly-Ann, Shericka, and Brianna) at the just concluded Tokyo Olympics and having two of the biggest anthems locally for the summer, namely, ‘Dirt Bounce’ and ‘Tip Inna It’, dancehall star Laa Lee has no intentions of getting comfortable with these achievements.
The Arnett Gardens native has indicated that he’s not slowing down anytime soon as he aims to cement his place among the music industry elite. In a move geared toward that, the entertainer has brokered a new deal with Frankie Music that will see the Grammy Award-winning producer and his team taking over the reins as his official management. Wasting no time, the newly forged alliance has already borne fruit through a partnership with regional telecommunication giant Digicel for their ‘Digi Bounce’ summer campaign.
“I am very pleased with the general direction of my career and how things are progressing. People are gravitating towards my sound and it’s encouraging, to say the least, and makes me want to work even harder. ” –Laa Lee stated.
Frankie, who boasts an impressive discography with some of the biggest industry names, capped by his recent Grammy win with international sensation Koffee, added that he intends to do what is necessary to elevate Laa Lee’s brand, starting with this summer.
“Laa Lee is jovial but also a very focused and dedicated artiste to his craft, and we want to showcase that to the people. His recent deal with Digicel is just the first of many projects being undertaken. In recent weeks, there has been a surge in his demand internationally, and we are currently putting all the requisite paperwork in place so he can travel to exploit these opportunities. ” -Franke added.
Meanwhile, with ‘Tip Inna It’ and ‘Dirt Bounce’ racking up millions of views online, the entertainer has released a new video titled ‘Move’ featuring emerging talent Flyght.
