It’s impossible to rule out music producer JMJ when it comes to his impact on riddim culture in Ghana / Africa. The producer who is currently on a media tour promoting his new project ‘Riddim Of The Gods – New Kings’ edition in an exclusive interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM this morning, made a startling revelation, acknowledging how Elorm Beenie has actually made an impact or influenced Riddim Culture in Ghana / Africa.
He recalled how Elorm used to travel all the way from Ho back in the days to deliver the latest Jamaica riddim to decorated reggae-dancehall act Stonebwoy in his studio. Until he confronted him one day, Elorm explained what it meant. As a result, a working bond was formed in which Elorm pitched the idea of riddim production to JMJ for the first time. Fast forward, it birthed ‘Trigger Riddim’. Followed by ‘Missile Riddim’ which had almost all the hottest Ghanaian artists at the time. And now Riddim Of The Gods.
