Jon Germain’s broadcast journey started in 1996 with Choice FM Accra, and then moved to Atlantis radio in 2000, Metro TV in 2001, Citi FM in 2004, Afrique Radio London 2005, OBE TV London 2004, Ace TV Los Angeles 2003, XFM Accra in 2009 and a celebrity host on Live FM from 2013 to 2014, and currently the host of STARR FM’s Mid morning show THE ZONE, after hosting the station’s After Drive Show The DropOff for 4years.
Jon Germain hosted the the CIMG nominated TV show of the year AlloTigo. Before AlloTigo he hosted ‘’the longest running and most successful entertainment magazine TV show in Ghana’s history SMASH TV – Graphic Showbiz’’.
Jon Germain was awarded entertainment presenter of the decade by a Ghanaian radio station in London. Also referred to as the most influential entertainment TV host in Ghana by Graphic Showbiz he has hosted AlloTigo since 2003.
Jon Germain has interviewed personalities such as Rev Jesse Jackson, Ghana’s current President H.E Nana Akuffo Addo, soccer maestro Abedi Pele, Buju banton, Wyclef, Akon, Joe, Shaggy, Outcast, Entire soulfood cast, Frank Bruno, Coldplay, Blue, salif Kieta, Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masakela, Lucky Dube, Omar, John Fashanu, Bryan Barber and so many more for his TV show.
Musically, Jon Germain, broke away from UK Rock Band VAN GREENE and released the multiple award winning album THIS IS WHO I AM. The album was nominated for MOST GIFTED RnB by Channel O, BEST POP by SOUNDCITY Music Awards , RECORD OF THE YEAR Ghana Music Awards , Won DISCOVERY OF THE YEAR , 4 syte Music Awards and nominated for Voters Choice Song Of The Year award at MOAMAS to be held in New York, USA.
After releasing this album on I Contact GH records, Jon Germain was spotted by Los Angeles based record label WORLDVUER MUSIC www.worldvuermusic.com , and within days was signed to Worldvuer Music. A few weeks after Worldvuer Music secured a deal with EMI Records Los Angeles for Jon Germain.
Jon gain global attention when multiple Grammy award winning rock singer Chris Martin mentioned he likes a song titled Quiver on Jon’s THIS IS WHO I AM ALBUM.
this gave the album and its hit single IN MY HEAD so much airplay all over the world as well as in far away china, when a chinese website yooku.com paid tribute to what they called a masterpiece and thousand of Chinese fans questioned if the song is by an African.
