Multi-talented and versatile TV personality, Korku Lumor, known in real life as Leonard Lumor, takes a final bow from Television Africa. Korku Lumor resigned from the TV station on 14th October, 2020
During his stint there, he was the Show Host of ‘Breakfast Live’ the TV Station’s flagship program and also anchored ‘News Hour’ the TV station’s Prime Time news at 6pm.
For ardent viewers and admirers of Korku, they will mostly miss his ‘Friday Waakye Conversations’ a segment he introduced on Fridays to eat ‘Waakye’ Live on TV while Profiling Personalities such as Rocky Dawuni, Andre Roxx, Edem, Reggie Rockstone and a host of others.
Apart from the many stories he covered as a News Personality, he is credited to have been the first journalist to lead Ghanaians to see what happens at Noguchi memorial institute for Medical Research during his COVID-19 Pandemic reportage.
The numerous guests, Politicians, Business giants, Academics etc who came into contact with this Extraordinary talent never failed to notice and mention his unique voice – smooth baritone, intelligence and his engaging interviews, beautifully weaving his questions to create unforgettable memories.
Korku truly can boast of an impressive resume in the media industry in his young career as many confessed that TV Africa was a station to watch because of what he brought to the screens..
Korku is tipped to be soon the face of Mastering of Ceremonies and Moderating of Events, a job he was professionally engaged in before he joined Television Africa.
Korku Lumor’s appealing and dulcet baritone made him take up a professional job as a voice over artiste many years ago handling works of brands such as MTN, Sociète Generale Ghana, Cal Bank, Reality TV Shows, among others.
He currently runs Loom Hub Events and Productions Services, a company he stated with some great people after about 9 years of planning and executing several events at different levels with the remit to plan and produce the most creative high-end events and multimedia Productions.
Korku Lumor is also a playwright and a brilliantly talented and gifted actor.
He hosts ‘Ghana’s Youth President’ Reality TV Show on Joy Prime which airs every Saturday at 8am and so when asked whether he was making a move to any of the big media houses, he simply wore a witty smile and said ‘Calls coming through but nothing concrete yet’.
He remained tight lipped about the reasons he severed ties with TV Africa.
Korku Lumor is a consummate professional that executes his responsibilities with utmost commitment and level headedness. It’s obvious he is part of the great story being retold about the future of Africa.
