Speech Production’s mellifluously gifted singer and songwriter Pablo Hxncho has characterized Lynx Entertainment’s act Kuami Eugene as an amateur when it comes to music. He said this on the grounds that, he doesn’t give credit to the people’s songs he continuously samples.
According Hxncho, Kuami Eugene doesn’t work on international recognition because his type of songs doesn’t meet up with the international settings and such songs become very popular in spite of that they don’t last. He feels Ghanaians are enlightened on good music so his “Akokofunu” music must stop. He even encouraged him to learn more about music if he truly wants to live a mark in the book of history as a legendary artist.
Speaking in an interview with Beeniewords, he clarified his tweet with the following key pointers to substantiate it. In accordance, he said as an artist in this age, Kuami Eugene must be able to write his own songs and tell his own stories better. But to have an artist like him “stealing or copying” songs rhythm to rhythm, melody to melody from another artists without giving them the due credit – is a no no.
In spite the fact that he blamed it on the system for the rise of some mediocre acts he gave much respect to the few DJs, promoters and presenters who go all out to support, promote and push real artists.
He genuine appeal to those it may concern is, real talents should be given the spot and support to shine. Because when you look on the international scene a lot of artists been described as musicians down here will not survive there. In fact they will not be recognized as musicians and it will go against the industry as a whole.
In conclusion, he eulogized Darko Vibes, King Promise, Pzee Fire, Kiyo Dee, Chief Kellz, Alli, King Maaga, Kurl Songx, etc for keeping it real.
