Refusing to water down the kind of music she does without following trends or compromising on the quality of sound, the totality of her art has generally enticed the Vodafone Ghana Music Award board. This has opened the door for her to bag 3 solid nominations prior to the board’s announcement. Her song “Oh Me” was nominated under the following categories;

3. Female Vocalist of The Year. The categories in which she find herself are very tough but her song outshines all. There are statistics to back the fact she outshines everyone she’s competing with though they equally deserve it. They are;
• 2019 saw Lamisi outdoor her solo musical career officially when she successfully launched her maiden album “Brighter Side” which caught the surprise of many who had known her over the years during her days with the Patch Bay Band as lead vocalist and support vocalist for a lot of A-list artists in the country, and this was due to the weight the album carried. Characterized by
its excellent professional recording approach topped with her soothing voice; no wonder she’s being nominated for Female Vocalist in a number of music award schemes this year.
• All though one might argue about the popularity of her songs, quality music got her on very prestigious live music platforms within the year, and her performances has always being applauded and received with warm surprise anytime she got the opportunity.
